Prime Construction & Trading was established in March 1995 (initially as Cty Toan Hao) to provide quality construction services to Vietnamese and international organizations. Its aim was to bring together design, project management and construction expertise from in and outside Vietnam for the construction of projects requiring high international standards at a competitive cost. In the early days Prime was also involved in pre-cast concrete manufacturing and container transport. In October 1997, Prime underwent a structural change to streamline its operations. A new company was formed, Cong Ty TNHH Xay Dung & Thuong Mai Tien Phong, but retaining the previous English name of Prime Construction & Trading Company Ltd, with its focus entirely on construction activities. “Tien Phong” in Vietnamese means pioneer, and Prime has pioneered quality Western standards, techniques and practices in construction in Vietnam.
