Hai Yen means “Sea Swallow” in Vietnamese! These beautiful birds live on cliff faces through out Vietnam.

The name, Hai Yen, is that of the Company’s Founder. His Uncle gave him this name in 1969, before he left for the front line as a Military Journalist. The Uncle was killed in action one year later. 

History
Since Vietnam opened its doors to international tourism, Ms Pham Thi Hai Yen, now Vice-Director and Operations Manager of Hai Yen Travel (known as HY Travel to many travelers!), has been showing visitors from around the world the breathtaking landscapes and traditional cultures of her country that she has studied and deeply loves.

After finishing her studies at the Hanoi Foreign Language College, Ms Yen and her husband began their own travel company.

Now, HY Travel located in Hanoi’s Old Quarter is showing people from all over the world the wonders of this magical country.
